Are pools easy to maintain? Modern pool equipment is a lot more user friendly that it has been in the past. With so many more people owning pools nowadays the companies have made a real effort to make things simple and easy to use. Our customers tell us on average that they spend about half an hour to hour a week cleaning the pool, checking the filtration system and the chemical levels.
Does an indoor pool always need Planning Permission? The short answer to this question is no. if the building is free-standing then you may not need Planning Permission. When we carry out a site survey we can usually determine whether you will need Planning Permission or not.
Can a residential swimming pool be any size? Of course, as long as you have the space then a pool can be the size that you would like it to be. Also with concrete construction it can be any shape that you would like.
What are the average running costs of a pool? A pool can be heated either with gas, electricity or oil. As a rough guide, a 9m x 3.6m swimming pool run on gas or economy 7 electricity would cost in the region of £2000 per annum to run.
